BABY NAMINGS

The arrival of a new little human is cause for celebration.   Baby Namings can take place anywhere, on any scale and in any style.  The important thing is that we work together to create the right kind of celebration for you and your family.  I can help you plan and deliver a unique ceremony that allows you to share in the joy of your baby in a way that is meaningful and personal to you all.  

Babies don't have to be newborns for a ceremony like this to happen.  Sometimes families find it suits them to wait until the little ones are a bit older before they have a Welcome or Naming Ceremony.  You can also can choose to have more than one child celebrated at the same time.

Baby Namings can be as simple or as creative as you wish to make them. Your ceremony could contain some of the following things:

• A special song being sung or music being played
• A reading or a poem
• The significance of the child's name
• Family commitments to the baby
• Appointment of mentors or 'Guideparents'
• Sharing of hopes for the future 

When we meet to discuss the ceremony, we are thinking about what will make it memorable for YOU so that you will be able to look back on the day with real joy.

I will be led by your ideas and wishes for your ceremony but I can suggest lots of suitable material.  I have an excellent knowledge of poetry, books, films and music that I can share with you.
